Three L&T’s community health centres accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH)
L&T stands out among large corporates for establishing and operating a dedicated network of health centres and hospitals that serve the communities around it. The Group (through its CSR arms the Prayas Trust, L&T Public Charitable Trust and Corporate CSR) runs ten community health centres across Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra, delivering affordable and quality healthcare to employees, their families and underserved communities.
Recently, three of L&T’s community centres have been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers [NABH]. The L&T Health Centre at Andheri (Mumbai), the Antiretroviral Therapy Centre at Koldongri (Mumbai) and the Health & Dialysis Centre at Thane (in Allopathic Clinic category) have been accredited to meeting the nationally recognised standards of patient care, safety and service delivery.
This achievement reflects L&T’s structured and organisation-wide commitment to delivering safe, standardised, and high-quality healthcare services to employees, contract workforce, and the community. The scale and reach of these centres further underscore the impact - approximately 150 patients are served daily at the Andheri Health Centre, the Thane Health Centre is equipped with 10 dialysis machines, and the Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) centre supports around 1,140 active beneficiaries. Ours is the first ART centre in India to get accredited with NABH.
NABH accreditation is widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence in healthcare. And for patients, it ensures consistent quality, patients’ rights and trust. Together, it elevates the overall standard of care delivery.
Besides the Andheri Health Centre and the Thane Health Centre, Health & Dialysis Centre – Surat and Nirali – AMN Health Care Facility at Powai, Mumbai have previously received NABH certification.
