Another initiative, OutThink – A Business Case Competition, attracts students from premier B-Schools across the country. Participants present their solutions to a distinguished Jury at a grand finale held in Mumbai and compete to win cash prizes and Pre-Placement Interview opportunities.

L&T’s Campus Recruitment Team plays a crucial role in developing a future-ready workforce through a robust Campus-to-Corporate pipeline. Each year, we visit India’s premier engineering and management institutions to attract bright, passionate, and value-driven graduates and postgraduates. Our selection process is designed to identify individuals with strong technical foundations, conceptual clarity, and alignment with L&T’s core values. Demonstrating our commitment to building an inclusive workforce, we have consistently maintained 30% women representation among GETs and PGETs over the last three years. As part of the on-boarding process, all fresh entrants go through an Orientation Programme, which gives them an overview of the breadth of work and enables the transition from Campus to Corporate. This programme helps all Graduate and Post Graduate Trainees get acclimatized to our work culture and start delivering from day one. The programme consists of an orientation on L&T, its businesses and projects undertaken.
The trainees work on technical projects, individual assignments, product simulations, and undergo various technical as well as non-technical exercises online. The programme is a good mix of technical and behavioural sessions, delivered through a curated and structured one-year rotation and training plan that aligns with each trainee’s role and specialisation. This structured approach ensures exposure to diverse experiences and learning opportunities throughout the year.
