For over eight decades, Larsen & Toubro has played a key role in building a strong and self-reliant India. With expertise in precision and systems engineering, L&T entered critical sectors like power, aerospace and defence well before they opened to private industry participation, which began with Defence in 2001 and Space in 2020.
L&T has worked closely with the Defence Research and Development Organisation to design and develop advanced systems for the Indian Armed Forces. We have supported the Indian Navy’s vision of Builder’s Navy by delivering platform-specific equipment across multiple classes of vessels with a focus on indigenous value creation. As a trusted partner to the Indian Army and Air Force, L&T has delivered concept-to-deployment solutions across artillery, air defence, armoured vehicles and combat engineering systems. These efforts are powered by strong engineering and programme management with a clear focus on the customer needs. In the Space domain, we have partnered with ISRO across every mission segment. Our contributions include hardware for launch vehicles and satellites, test facilities, material independence, satellite communication infrastructure and deep space communication networks.
