Biodiversity / Tree Plantation

Miyawaki Forest Development with native trees across the campus, enhancing carbon sequestration, groundwater retention, biodiversity, and climate resilience
More than 20,000 trees planted to rejuvenate soil and enhance greenery, creating a habitat for birds, honeybees, and wetland species
Mangrove Plantation across 150 hectares in Karanj and Hansot, Gujarat, through the Blue Carbon initiative - this effort has boosted farmer incomes and enhanced ecological balance, providing a sustainable livelihood while restoring biodiversity and protecting the coastal environment
Mudland to Mangoland: Transforming barren land into thriving mango orchards with 300+ mango trees
Mass tree plantation drives to celebrate key environmental days with active employee engagement

Raising the bar to the next level, L&T is undertaking big goals related to Climate Change and Water Security. We aim to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2040, ahead of the Paris Agreement deadline of 2050, and Water Neutrality by 2035.
